How much do you do before the baby is born?; Or do you leave EVERYTHING for after?

My dd (first girl after 2 boys) came home from the hospital in white and wore neutrals (and even some blue) for the first few days! I was only in the hospital for 8 hours so I didn't have time for buying anything.
When I went to my dr who is less than a 5 minute walk from here when she was a few days old (I had a horrible case of contract dermititis on my whole back from the sticky tape from the epidural) I went across the street to Winner's (for the americans - probably like Syms) and bought whatever I could find it pink! It didn't seem right to have a princess in blue, lol!

if I have a girl, there is no way on earth that I am having her come home in a boys outfit, or anything that resembles nuetral!! (My boys don't own anything nuetral....all boy stuff!) If I have a girl, your going to be able to tell from 3 miles away that she is a girl. Even if I have to have a friend do the shopping for me!

Dh would go into some super boutique and get a cotton stretchie for $89 and a sweater/hat for $115 and a blanket for $64. ... It's really bad for my nerves to allow my dh to take any responsibility for baby clothes or other items.

haha

Ps: aaa, I also just graduated to Queen, which is odd, since last time I checked I was in the 200's. Nursing really helps the posts along!
Well, anyway, we're in a close call now!

Be careful, my outlaw brought the going home outfit for dd. An extremely beautiful drees w/red velvet and lace. It was unbearably stiff and hot. She cried all the way home until I could put her in a stretchy, rachmanous.

Ha ha poor baby. Can't believe you put her in it. I would probably have gone home with kid in a blanket.
I got neutral stuff in advnace that i would need like vests and babygrows and nappies etc because hospitals don't give you anything so you have to bring everything in advance. But once he was born we got the blues and the greens and the beige stuff.
If i had a girl i wouldn't care for her to be in neutral stuff, but i would deff buy some girly things. I know someone who had a girl after 7 boys and this girl is dressed top to toe in pink, she even wears a hairband and has no hair.
