I see boys with curly pigtails all over and think it's cute. Today I made them for Zusha and my husband almost fainted bec. he thinks it's girly. I told him that all of Boropark does this, but he never paid attention and he doesn't believe me. So what do you all think? |

Offer your husband to brush and wash his hair. Every time you see a kid w/ pigtails, point him out to your husband. Whatever keeps that hair out of his eyes and out of dirt. |

I did. Other meaning whatever does the job, regardless of what others do. |

It still wouldn't change his opinion, FG. Besides, we almost never go outside together that I can point out. And a regular pony or clip will also keep his hair out of his eyes. I just love the pigtail look. But since I always take care of his hair, I'll make whichever style I'm in the mood for! Just looking for others' opinions. |

I love pigtails! I used to make them for my middle son, mostly because he got a heat rash from his hair in the summer and I wanted to make sure the hair was off his neck. He looked so adorable! also he liked them alot. |

Being on the secular side of things, I feel pigtails are reserved for girls. Barbie |

I said other- I agree two looks girlie. Can't wait to put Freida's hair in pigtails. BUT I am totally cool with a pony or three ponies. Zu lived in them! Tev won't let but he likes a clip pulling his bangs back. |

Personally, I never did it but I don't think it is "wrong." My niece (8 year old) once made pig tails for ds and he looked cute but he wasn't thrilled about this. For him, one "ponty-ail" is more than enough! |

I say no, but I don't think I would put them on a girl either, I don't like the look. That said, I put them on him on purim for the few minutes I dressed him up as a girl. I also put a whole pony in sometimes and a small half pony, but he looks the most girly when he has his curls pretty and down... |

i said "other". ds's hair is very long (and iyh we have one more year to go, so it will be at least as long as zu's hair!). he won't let me put anything in to keep it out of his eyes. here a boy that age with long hair is a novelty, so yes, we get a lot of "oh, what a lovely boy" regardless of the very boyish outfits i put him in ;) |

Yeah, well.. I do tend to think of long hair only being for girls. I understand the upshern thing, but after that I do like short hair on boys/men and longer hair on girls/women. |

4hope- Zu also did that to me. He finally got so sick of it in his mouth, nose, tush, etc... he gave into the pony. he was great until he was 2 and a half an all of a sudden he bulked at the pony. When he was little I would make three to entertain him. |
