I need some help getting fruits and veggies in Aviva. She only wants bread and meat. Sometimes I can sneak a veggie in here and there but generallly she puts it in her mouth and then spits it out. Any ideas.

all I can suggest is keep trying! I know my kids go through phases- they will eat only carbs, than only protein, only fruit or veggies. The ped said this was pretty normal.

Hallie is 3.5, and the only thing that works is serving it! If she sees fruit and veggies in front of her they become familiar and then she'll eventually eat it. She wouldn't touch broccholi for a while but loves it now. Sometimes, I don't give her anything else for dinner other than veggies and because she's so hungry she eats it. Then, after, I give her whatever she wants. (chicken nuggets/meatballs/loaf) Also, I eat fruit and veggies with her and we don't eat junkie food except for weekends.. like a Trader Joe's cookie or something. So, if she's hungry she'll eat the apple.

Well it doesn't help that she is isn't a big eater either. If she eats a couple bites of something, I am happy.

I tend to mix veg with different carbs eg rice or mash potato with veg mixed in with it, or pizza where you can put different veggies on top. What about soups?
You could also make something like a fruit crumble...one of DSs favourites (but then, he loves any fruit so that is not an issue for me B'H...)

it's probably just a stage.
keep offering but don't push it.

baby food can be mixed in w/ a lot of different foods w/o anyone noticing - like carrots into tomato sauce for lasagna or pears/apples into oatmeal, etc.

also, you can try pureed soups - those go over well w/ my kids.

Try Doctor Prager's Veggie Pancakes - they come in Broccolli and Spinach. They are not too fatty, and a good, tasty way to get your kid to eat veggies.

My 1YO son loves them.
