I took Ru for his first day of campt oday. Simcha came with me to drop him off. Ru was great, bH! Sat down with one of the counselors while she read him a book. Problem was, Simcha sat right next to him, quietly listening. I lifted up Simcha to leave and BOY did he scream!!! He did nto want to leave. All these kids are crying cuz they' don't want to stay, and here he is screaming to stay. Recently he's gotten so upset when I leave Reuven at playgroup or anywhere, He always wants to stay. How am I going to manage to keep him home this whole year, with Ru going to school every day!! He's not 2 until August, and he will be SOOO jealous!!!

Is that August of this year (i.e. 2 months away) or of next year?

Gayilc, I had the same problem with my middle son, He was 22 months old when camp started his birthday is September 17th, I spoke with the camp and they said they would take him because he was mature for his age! It was a great summer for him, I know he was little but he really thrived.

Even if I found a camp for him (he's to young for Ru's), he's not going to school or playgroup next year. It would be a tease to send him then keep him home afterwards. We'll just have to make it tons of fun for him at home.

Neither did I! My Asher is 2 on August 24th!

And - he also cried sadly when he realized that he wasn't going to be staying at sister's camp Katan.

Ah these boycheks want to have it all figured out and then we tell them - nope sorry, you are too little.

He's a month and a half too young for the one I'd want to send him to. Plus the fact taht dh has a significantly reduced salary, making it not so affordable, and beH, I will need a babysitter at home anyway. BeH, the babysitter will be watching another kid he can play with so hopefully he'll be happy. He's very happy when he's home, just yearns to go to school with his brother and cries about it every morning.

Baby dd loveS when I go to sub for big dd's morah in the kindergarden.
If I tell baby dd that we're going to 'school', she even drops nursing and runs for her shose, yelling: "Mova, mova!" (mora)
