Hi all
I need help deciding what to get for a friend with a 2 yr old boy who just had another boy. They have already got lots of toys etc and boys clothes...( I often have this problem when the next baby is the same sex.)
I am planning to spend around £15 (about $25)

Any brainwaves?

thanks for you help!

My favorite gifts were actually outfits that were like 2T. That way Zu got use out of them too! I had almost nothing in the bigger sizes where I had loads and loads in the little sizes.

something I get though when we send gifts is a lovie with the child's name on it. I google them. I think I spent about $30 american so a bit more than what you want though. People love them. I got the idea when I taught preschool. All my kids still slept with their lovies. http://perfect-baby-gift.com/ is where I usually buy from cause I have found they have good service. But just google Lovies and you will find LOADS of sites that sell them! I saw a few in england.

We had a bunch of friends that had babies around the same time. We gave each of them a $50 Target gift card, and we're still hearing about how happy they were with it! It was great because they received so many onesies and stuff like that, so they were able to buy diapers, batteries for the baby swing, and other such items with the gift card.

Are they registered anywhere?

Yeah - the bigger sizes are great. also the useful clotehs (as opposed to impractical) - onesies, pj's, socks, etc...
Another idea - you could buy a few childrens books - that way both kids can enjoy them. If you get 3-4 books that is a very nice gift!

Those are really cute Sara! I love this one http://perfect-baby-gift.com/images/flbundle.jpg, it matches my son's linen set but I think my dh would not be too happy if i spent tht type of money on a blankie

I love them! Like I said- all my preschoolers still had them and slept with them. Its like a blankie and a fav. stuffed animal in one.

Funny thing is- I get them whenever we have friends who have a baby (for the most part) but I have yet to get one for any of my kids. I keep telling my mom it would be nice but she doesn't seem to get the hint.

I guess friends would feel odd giving the same type of gift that you gave them. Hints don't work for my in-laws either. DH tells them in plain words: We'd like to have this.

another idea could be matching shirts for the boys like those cute baby gap polo shirts.

thanks for all your ideas guys...
In the end I sent DH out shopping and he got matching Bob the Builder PJs for when they are both a little older.
He then delivered them and apparently they went down well!

thanks again and Shabbat shalom.....
