Last week my boys were both sick - about 2 days of fever and runny noses and that's it. Late sunday night when the baby had a fever I thought it was the same... She still had fever this morning so I took her to the doctor and she has pink eye! Poor girl needs eye drops - so hard to put in and she looks so sad! :(

a suggestion for the drops...can you swaddle her in a blanket? it makes it easier. its also easier if you stand behind her when you put the drops in- they are more likely to actually get into the eye.

I hope it clears up quickly...

the swaddling is a great idea but she is 10 months and would jump right out!

when dd had pink eye, the dr said that if i put the drops in while her eye was closed it was okay - because as soon as she would open her eye it would fall in.

if you want to try a home remedy, you make a strong tea, let it cool down and dip in a cotton ball and swipe her eye with it. i did it with my sn when he was 3 months and first it got worse for a little and then it all cleared up and there was no need for drops. i usually dont do these things, but we had an older woman over and she was pressureing me so i let her do it to get her off my back and figured i would get the drops the next morning (it was motzei shabbos) and bH there was no need for the drops.

Liora now has a sinus infection, we have to treat it with eye drops and antibiotics, I put her in her car seat and put them in. She doesn't like it but she is not screaming about it.

Refuah Shelaymah it is not easy when they are sick and pathetic looking.
