I just contributed this one to Nechama Cohen, author of "Enlitened Cooking" and for everybody who has a diabetes-patient in the family I would like to donate my latest invention in no-sugar-foods here too. So here it is, fresh from Rivka's kitchen, invented this morning and just tasted: Measurements – Israeli glass cups from Acropal (200 ml cup) 3 cups whole wheat flour 1 cup fructose (Marshal for the Israelis, that is important since the other firm gives a bitter after taste) 2 sachets of baking powder 4 eggs (whole, yes I know… but there had to be some taste in it, but experimenting is allowed and feel free to replace 2 egg-yolks by oil) 1/2 cup canola oil 1 cup strong coffee 1 tspn. Cinnamon 1/2 tspn. Nutmeg 1/4 tspn. Cloves you might also add ginger or cardamom each a teaspoon, I just did not have that at home Mix ingredients (dry first and than add liquids), pure into form I used a 2.5" x 9" baking pan and in that hight it takes up to 50 min. baking at 350°F. (or 175 – 180°C) :yum: |
