Yuck. I just came back from PTC for my girls. Why do the principals have to be so defensive?

My DDs class (6th grade) is on their 3rd English teacher (they have the same teacher for all the secular studies except Social Studies) because the first one, who was there for years, left to care for her sick mother. Then they had a really bad sub (except for math as the 8th grade math teacher did it temporarily) and now their new teacher. By now they are running rings around the teacher. I just wanted the principal to be aware that they need to address the situation. So she goes defensive on me. Urggg. I hate these things....

BH the teachers had nice things to say about both girls. Dh spoke to their Hebrew homeroom teacher (they have 2 judaic studies teacher - one Chumash/Yahadut and one Navi/Ivrit) and asked her to speak to them about it and she said she will.

Anyway thanks for the vent, it is not an easy situation that's for sure....

Changing teachers during the school year is the pits for kids. I feel sorry for them and their new teacher.
