My boys would shmooze away at night and jump around and it was getting hard. Someone bought us a book on tape so we tried that and the kids were so calm and stayed in bed - the only problem was that it was too short for bedtime - have to keep turning it over every 5-10 minutes. My neighbour lent me a Rabbi Juravel tape and it is so good for the kids - they lie in bed quietly and listen until they fall asleep! Sometimes I do need to turn it over but they are so calm and happy to listen. The next day they tell me all about it and they are learning from it too!

my kids don't like his tapes at all....they complained that it was boring and that his voice was funny. Personally I agreed with them. Funny, because many people told me to get them.

lol lol lol U tarzan. When we were kids we had Uncle Yossi tapes. They were so boring and noticed that the people that marketed these forgot to clip the bits that stop you from being able to record over them...so yep, we made our own recordings of nonsense ontop of the tape.

Although Rabbi Juravel does have a voice that is annoying to adults, the kids love it and they learn tons. One of the best ones is the one about the book of Ruth, since Shavuot is coming I would recommend it. My 7 year old listens to them in bed and they learn a lot from them. He loves Elisha and Eliyahu and around Pesach all he wanted was the yitziat mitzraim. I have a whole bunch of them (but not the parsha ones, I can't shell out for each parsha).
