With everything else that went on today, I yelled at my dd. I was losing it and she just kept yapping away. I yelled.
:( I never do that. After I calmed down and took care of the HD return, I apologized to her for my behavior. Guess what? She apologized for HERS! She knew she was talking too much when I was stressed. It was the sweetest thing in the world! Anyway, we kissed and made up. |

aww that is very sweet that the two of you made up. Life happens - quarrelling occurs but love conquers all. My dd and I had a bit of a battle yesterday when we went swimming. She didn't want to stay in the shallow end and so we had to leave. She was quite angry and said some things that she thought would hurt my feelings (I don't ever want you to be a real teacher!!! you know how kids are...) Well then last night she said she was sorry too. Yes, it is definitely one of the best feelings in the world to a.)have your daughter apologize and b.)know that you've been a good enough mother that she realizes the importance of that apology! |

It was the first time in a while that I thought I was talking to a little grown up. She wasn't making silly faces or talking like a baby... just a little, understanding person who felt my frustration. I adore that child! |

It sure felt like that. I'm much more "together" today. I think I"m also very hormonal. I just don't know what THAT's about either. |
