If you need to let off steam, you know my number. ;)

I got "Mommy"ied today. Dd was on the phone and I started teasing her (big mistake, of course). So she puts her hand on the phone and says "Mommmyyyy" with a stern look only a teenager can do.

CR, on a bright note, think about her 4 younger sisters....lol

hee-hee.
Although it makes my younger kids' situations seem pretty mild, compared to dealing with my older kids. And dd#2 is already showing signs of teen behavior...

I get "Mommy!"ed all the time.
I did almost call you today. I was headed for the phone when ds surprised me by coming home for lunch. As soon as he walked in the door, he started campaigning for this 30 gig mp3 player. He'd pay for it with his own money, but i'm still not sure...
Anyway, after venting here (thanks, guys) and washing my floors, I feel much better. And my floors are sparkling.

Ooooooooooooooo - I can SO empathize! At least I'm only the bad guy around here every other day. On alternate days it's dh's turn.

I am always the bad guy and dh encourages it by being lenient.

That attitude is definitely a pick your battles situation. They appreciate when you let them work out their issues in peace. By girls it can be something on the way and they are not experienced to connect it yet.

Dh is definitely not the lenient one. It's just that personality-wise, he's ds's bad guy, and I'm dd's.

People don't get it when I say I'd be happy having only boys!
I'm freaking out just trying to imagine how I'll ever be able to deal with a teenage daughter...

:hugs

You sure have the deck stacked against you! I would definitely speak to your agent. ^_^

:ha

Right now it's even, because the younger dd's haven't picked a "bad guy" yet.
Yeah, ds has his moments, too. Like calling me up from school this morning and asking if we can have a farbrengen in our house. Tonight. He knows I can't say no to a farbrengen. I suppose I should go knock on the downstairs neighbor's door right now and apologize ahead of time.

It's not the kids who need to trained, it's the teachers who announce to their students, "Who wants to host a farbrengen tonight?"
