Posted Image Teenager for Sale This week my Rachmiel made a royal pain of himself. He is not going to yeshiva unless I do everything he asks including splitting the sea and walking on water. Baruch HaShem ds #3 saved the day by dragging them to their rooms, getting their stuff together and threating to decimate the next one who mouthed off to me. I think HaShem is holding up his shidduch until the other 3 grow up so I don't go nuts. They went late because they waited for the doc to sign their forms that they are healthy enough to be in dorm. I am glad it is merely a physical exam. The doc didn't show and I put them on the bus. They had 2 tasks to perform: stop and get photos from one of those machines for student ID and get to yeshiva. I let the yeshiva know they would be slightly late. They left at 2. At 7:45 they claimed the had not found a machine or photo shop in all of Bnai Brak and Ramat Gan *until they got to the mall* "And Ima, BTW, I left my hat on the bus. Can you call lost and found and track it down." We have the hat, I must go to Chadera to take it to him, along with some other stuff that could have waited. I believe manslaughter should be decriminalized if the victim is between 12-18. Posted Image |

Oh, I feel your pain. We had a major blow-out (from the teenagers side) over a pair of socks left in the middle of the living room on shabbos. How dare I ask him to pick them up?!?! |

I'm already seated. Waiting for the first meeting to begin. Ds#2 acts like a teenager, too. So I feel like I have 3 of them. :ouch |

yeah, there's that, too, the ones who act like teens. Although dd #2 almost has an excuse, being KA"H only a year away from teenagerhood. And the fact that ppl think she's 14-15 yrs old. |

People think she's 14-15? Wow, she must have grown over the summer! At least she wasn't insulted like dd was when someone thought she was 12. (She'll be 16 next month.) Yikes, I just realized I have an almost 16 year old! Help!! :hide |

I get 12-16. Last week I went out with my kids and dh and got a sangria. I was carded. I always ask how old they think I am and they usually figure I'm around 21 if I am ordering a drink but if I order a soda I'm definitely 16. I told this lady that these were my kids and she was schocked. She said I looked 16 (with makeup mind you, w/o I get 12). and I said 16 was more than 1/2 my life ago. Her jaw dropped. |

Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image Is this what you think I'm thinking? If so, you're thinking correctly. I have to be thankful that dd has no interest in driving (she has 2 left feet :crazy ) but ds#1 is itching to get behind the wheel. :o :help |

Ah - I so fondly remember my father saying: "Left! Left!" as I gallantly drove along hugging the white bike lane on the right (which was also close to the hillside but for some reason seemed much safer than getting close to the yellow line and oncoming traffic!) |

Lat year someone came to the door (!) and asked if my mommy or daddy is home. I told them that no, they are far away and closed the door. |

When telesales people call and ask to speak to Mommy or Daddy, I consider it fair game to just hang up, instead of my usual politeness, of the excuse of needing to get back to the kids. It's happened so often that I'm no longer shocked or offended enough to reply, I just take it as a good excuse to get out of the call. Of course, in real life I look at least my age, and feel much older! It's just my voice that's baby-ish. Naomi |
