OK, so I took DS to the doctor today and lo and behold he is within a couple pounds of the weight limit on his convertable evenflo carseat (but not hight) ...we knew this day was coming soon, but now its kind of hit us in the face...AFAIK Britax is one of the few companies that make seats that go past 40lbs for the weight limit and i'm leaning twords one unless anyone has a better suggestion. In the Britax category, i'm stuck between the Marathon vs. the Boulevard, is it worth the little bit extra for the easier adjustability on the height straps? I know the Boulevard has the TSIP, but I drive a Sienna with side courtain airbags, so i'm assuming it's not a major neccesity??? and extra fancy padding since it's being used for a 3yr. old (k'h) not an infant, has no factor in the descision...OK ladies, comments, suggestions, experiances welcome please!!! :Blah

Zu is in a wizard. I think its like the boulevard... not sure. I think personally its worth it for the knob to adjust the straps in the big seats.

from what i've read, i think the boulevard replaces the wizard...when I asked DH about the knob adjustablity vs. taking off the back, his answer was "how often do you have to adjust it?"

I actually have the roundabout - we tried the marathon but it was too high over the seat for me to see (in the back of the van).

in DH's car we have a carseat with knob adjustibility to raise the height of the straps and it's good b/c different kids use it at different times. otherwise it's not so necessary. unless you are talking about one to make the strap tighter or looser and that's important!

in the winter we use it ALL the time due to big winter coats. Last year we would have like a week of super cold and a week of really mild so it came in uber handy.

for the height or for the loose/tight? - the loose tight we use all the time cuz of different coats.

height actually cause they have puffy coats and it makes a difference in height.

The roundabout only has 2 adjustments for height so it's at the highest now since the lower one was just below dd's shoulders so that at least we don't have to change!

we use a radian (65lbs or 80lbs depending which you pick.) they are narrower seats- so if your ds is wide (vs compact) if you know what i mean- it may not work.

we love it though- and you can fit 3 across in a normal car

dh likes driving it which is wonderful! He so didn't want to drive a minivan. We love the room. Plus, we were able to find one with an awesome deal that had a dvd player which saved us driving to and from denver.

I saw a review and s/o else who drove a jeep had the same problem...Zun, is that a problem for you as well? Is it driver height that makes the difference, or the seat hight? or both? I'm 5'3, so just wondering.
