k, so usually the guests we have are close friends and I wear a Shabbos robe for the seders. IY"H we are having guests who we are not close with (so no robe). So, how do you stay comfortable and look good? |

Look good? oy. I haven't gotten dressed for a holiday since I was 10. Maybe a long denim skirt? Otherwise I end up in my regular jeans. I can't run around and serve 16-18 in anything other than crocs though. :) |

Well, last year I slept through the seder (I was 2 months pregnant, and even kiddush started too late for me!). This year it will be just us, so I expect a skirt and a sweater. |

A comfortable top and skirt. The key elements are decent looking and comfort. It doesn't have to be fancy. If you have something that fits both criteria, you are set. |

A sweater set looks neat and put-together while being comfortable. You should be able to find lightweight cotton knit sets in basic colours. Pair it with an elastic-waist skirt in a non-creasing fabric, and the elastic is hidden by the sweater. Super comfy, washable, but very put-together. |

If it is in my house, I wear a robe even if I have company. I have a nice shabbos robe and that way I am comfortable and not that worried about getting dirty etc. If you really feel funny wearing a robe then a sweater and skirt (not a suit) would be appropriate. But I would wear the robe. After all the men are in a kittel, so you won't look too funny. |

I've always worn my "shabbos clothes" for chagim. I only recently bought a robe and I'd feel silly wearing it in front of anyone other than my DH or parents. |

I don't think I could get my dh in a kittle under any circumstance ever.. MAYBE if I promised him he could go to every R.E.M. concert this year... |

Looks kind of like a fancy lab coat - that length. It's white with a tie belt. Men wear it over their suit for the chuppah, on Yom Kippur, for the seder (some only if they lead it, others do even if not), some men on Rosh Hashana, and after death the man is buried in it. |

interesting. It looks alot like a barong tagalog that filipinos wear for dressy occasions (instead of tuxes) though a bit longer and with a belt. |
