What is your preferred method for cleaning pockets of coats (for Pesach) that can't just go in the washer? :dontknow

We never know what the weather will be (it can go from 70 degrees on erev Pesach to a foot of snow at the second seder) so I can't just stick them in a closet I'm selling.

thanks in advance.

If you can possibly turn the pocket inside out, you can get in there and brush the crumbs out by hand, or with an old toothbrush. Sometimes the pocket isn't attached to the lining of the coat, and will turn totally inside out. If it's attached and won't turn inside out, you can usually coax it out by pushing on the main body of the coat or the lining, to access at least one corner at a time.

I send them to the dry cleaners if I can't throw them in the wash.

I use the hose attachment of the vacuum.

Hold tight! I stopped doing that after I nearly sucked the coat into the hose too many years in a row - I finally learned! Yes, I know I can reduce the suction, etc, but either I'd forget, or I'd not manage to get it low enough.
