How was your first days? Seder updates?

B"H we had two awesome seders. VERY inspiring. The Obama volunteer staying with us was very sweet. We sent each night a HUGE package with matza, wine, grape juice, seder plate, and LOADS of food to the Obama office where his staff put down their work and made beautiful seders. Dh said when he walked in there was not a tearless eye they were SO grateful! I am waiting now to hear how many are working through the night so I can make them some goodies to keep them going.

BH so far wonderful. My son was adorably behaved by the sedarim, i got some well needed rest during the day, and we ate the morning seudas home with my own homemade food. I love pesach!

Oy - refuah sheleimah.

I had a quiet quasi-seder here by myself (kids were asleep) the first night and then with my parents the second night. It was great because my bro who is usually not very into anything religious, really joined in and my kids loved it! Once again he was singing the Hebrew stories of our childhood haggadot and the look on my mother's face as she participated with her children and grandchildren was truly heart warming. All that cooking and cleaning was definitely worth it for everybody thought our seder was fabulous.

Unfortunately, my dd was up most of last night crying in pain and today she was still moaning and crying so I took her to emergency care where we found out she has a full blown major ear infection. Her pain threshold is so high that she didn't even let us know it hurt until she was in really dire straits.

oy. bighug to ZC and Maryduke! nothing like really sick kids over YT ! I hope all the kiddies feel better!

Our first two homemade sedarim went out without a hitch, the kids were really fairly well behaved up until the end (where there was a collective haywire!). My husband made sure to ask all the kids questions that they were able to answer, and all of them participated. It was really great! We even ended up having a guest the first night!

Sorry about a sick baby!!!

Our first sedar was at my IL's and it was great.

I hosted a sedar the second night and it was amazing. We had 14 guests and I set the 2 tables up in the dining room. I used all my good china (I only use it for Pesach) and I displayed the children's plague masks that they made in Chabad, as well as tossing some plastic frogs on the table. Everyone had to figure out which mask they had and wear it as we read. I also put out questions that I had been discussing with the rabbi as well as facts so we could chat during dinner, rather than rush through. I cooked 90% of the dishes myself, including making homemade dressings for salads, 1 brisket, 3 kugels (1 non-grebrokts) and a flourless chocolate cake and matzah farfel balls. We had a blast! Oh, and the children received Disney PJ's as afikomen gifts bc it was late and they were so excited!

We had a blast. Crystal, the good china, dress casual clothes, and frogs on the table. This group stopped dressing up years ago, but it was sooooooo much fun.

we ended up with 20 people. at the last minute my midwife (who is jewish) had no place to come- so she and her husband joined us. it was pretty low key and the kids were pretty crabby (it had been a very busy day for us) but in the end everyone loved it. now saul keeps talking to his school friends and neighbors about how he wants them to come next year to our house for it

I was at Kmelion's seder. I think it can best be described as "noisy", courtesy of my two year old who refused to go to sleep but also refused to be with us downstairs. You know, that totally beyond even exhausted toddler state? That was him.
