Loopy kids, the stuff holiday memories are made of. Marion I'm sure your little guy had a blast.

We ended up taking the baby in to ER yesterday after our family doc told us she thought it a good idea. The nurses processed him pretty quick. He threw up all over me and the floor in the waiting room, then perked up the moment he was seen by the emerg doc! He tolerated the oral rehydration well, we were sent home and he continued to be sick all evening and throughout the night. The doctor let me know how to check for worrisome signs of dehydration and told me to come back if his situation worsens. Poor guy is so dried out that when he actually does take a pee-pee it is brown. My laundry machine is going to explode!

We did the first seder. We had "only" 24 people, so everyone fit easily - we set up 2 folding tables in addition to the dining room table. We had 36 for Rosh Hashana, so the seder felt roomy by comparison.

As usual, I panicked about cooking for so many, and ended up with at least double the amount of food needed. We've been slowly making our way through lots of gefilte fish, brisket and chicken.

We bought wheat wheat and bran matzo this year. It helps. The kids have also discovered the joys of dried fruit.

The kids are old enough to really know about Pesach and get into it. Ds made us proud by singing the first question all by himself, in a nice loud voice. The girls did the other questions, sang "betzet yisrael"and then also did parts of "dayenu" and "ehad mi yodeya". My oldest also read one paragraph from the Haggadah on her own. They made their own Haggadot and have been using them non-stop, and sining Pesach songs. There was some grumbling about starting at 9 p.m., but I offered veggie dip, dried fruit and drinks before to ward off hunger. It went well.

We had both sedarim at home. Ds#1 decided he wanted to read the haggadah in English (in addition to the Hebrew) so he could understand what he was saying. The kids had nice commentaries about different portions of the Haggadah. Since erev Pesach was Shabbos, we all got a good nap.

As usual, I overcook and we have plenty of food. Which is a good thing. :) Now back to the kitchen.
