So, its 3:30 am and if I don't sit down I might fall. Bedrooms are all done. My room just needs a sweep to be super careful. Living room is now DONE! I just finished. I have now done it a total of 6 times. AHHHHHHHHH! But every toy is sparkling and my desk is even cleaned. :) :) Counters, dishes, stove, fridge, etc... are all done. Dh is doing the floor now in the kitchen and putting all the stacks I made for him away. I just finished the bookshelves and just have the dining room floor to do. Chumatz is all gone, just sweeping, double checking sort of thing now. Kids have their toy kitchen to turn over tomorrow while I cook. Obama staffer staying with us is getting my last min. items for me tomorrow cause his job is to give out info at the grocery store as everyone runs to get last min. stuff! HEHE! I have one soup done. And now Frei is screaming... got to go. G-d willing I will get my cooking done!

Just after noon where we are. I took the kids to burn chametz at 9:00, then we went to the mall for their play area to burn off DS#1s overabundant energy. Unfortunately they didn't open until 10:30. :doh! We got back at 12, had leftover pizza for lunch (outside). Last load of laundry is in the dryer, charoset is made, sinks still have to be kashered (but not the end of the world if they're not because I have liners anyway). DS#1 had his bath while DS#2 napped before we left this morning; DS#2 had his bath last night.

Left to be done:
Put clothes & diapers into bag for kids. Pack for myself.
Floors.
Get rid of last slice of pizza (either eat it or toss it, haven't decided yet).
Shower for Eema!

They're both asleep now...so I'm getting out of here and doing those floors!

My husband did the last few things that weren't cleaned and just finished (it's 3:07PM here). I spent all of yesterday cooking and today as well. I am TIRED! But at least there's a Shabbos before hand so that I can wind down and rest before the seder.

So basically, how am I doing? I'm finished but tense and tired. :zzz :zzz :zzz :zzz

Pesach cleaning is done, and bedika was on time - yay! (didn't hurt that the official time to start wasn't till 9pm!)
Kitchen is switched, and I started cooking yesterday evening - purposely planning that most yom-tov food (except sedar food, and those things I need electrical appliances for) will be cooked fresh on yom tov to prevent mommy burn-out.
Still have to make all the provisions for the ka'ara (seder plate).
DH is out running errands - shopping for last-minute things, collecting dry cleaning, then off to burn chametz and toivel keilim.
Will be one more load of laundry to do, at least!

Mindy- I started PURIM time! This is our first time ever in the house with chumatz... a LOT harder than the past 4 pesachs when we didn't ever have. Also Tev had surgery in the middle and Frei keeps having asthma attacks from my cleaning/pollen. I spent Mon- Wed with a kid every 4 hours on the nebulizer and I myself cold use a treatment or two. Zu was out of school this week which only complicated matters.

purim time not pesach time

I learned a LOT of lessons. I so know what to do different next time besides for not scheduling ANY surgeries a week and a half before.

I have my soups done, charroset done, sugar done. Need to do the quinoa, veggies, and meat but not much. Oh and grate the marror and broil the turkey necks. Not SO horrible. Some light sweeping Dh will do at 5ish and mop the floor.

BH I think I am ready, just need to shower, chicken is prepared and ready to go into the oven, I think I prepared for the seder (zeroa, egg, grated the horseradish, washed the lettuce, made charoset, potatoes and celery for karpas, chicken soup, etc)

Wishing everyone a happy and healthy Passover!

I'm beyond exhausted. I couldn't figure out my cuisinart food processor (only had it collecting dust for 9 years... never used it). I had a friend rush over to help me with it. Managed to make 3 kugels (1 non gebrokts). I still have the brisket to make which will get done Sunday morning. Also a salad and 3 dressings to make. ooh.. and mandelbrot. :) I made a flourless chocolate cake yesterday. I'm exhausted bc the kids can't play alone and want to "help". WHY?!!!!!!! can't they play alone when I'm overwhelmed?

I was cooking, cleaning and doing errands right till candlelighting(I woke up at 5:30 to start cooking)! I didn't even have time for you guys---LOL. Unfortunately my fridge had a heart attack on erev YT, And that set me back a bit.

Also my SIL called at the last minute and asked if she and a friend could join us---I said of course, but then I started panicking that we did not have enough food, so I started putting up more stuff, At the end SIL came, friend did not, and there was way too much food! (I do not plan on cooking on Chol hamoed!)
