I baked a spare bedroom key into one, and made the rest regular. I was afraid to use a front-door key; it has that plastic thing up top.

I wrapped the key to my front door in tin foil and then pushed it through the bottom to the top. It baked just fine and was yummy - whole wheat too!

I do it by hand (but I hate the gloppy feel of mixing dough and wear rubber gloves, once its fully kneaded I have no issues with the dough just before its dough bothers me.)

Me too! But I don't use rubber gloves. I mix it gently with a spoon for a bit before I knead the dough.
