Besides for the fact that my fridge/freezer died about an hour into Shabbos/YT everything went wonderfully. We had a big bag of ice so we put the meatloaf for Shabbos lunch in the cooler with the ice on it and everything else into the freezer. B"H it worked out. Only lost my guacamole. Not sure whats going on with the fridge as we hear it go on a bit ago but now it is off again. I scheduled a sears person (warranty) to come tomorrow the second YT was out. IY"H we will make the list as it was late and they did not guarantee it. |

We had something similar happen to our fridge. We discovered that the heating element (you read that right - heating, it helps control ice build up) died. So we had to get someone in to change it. Pesach was great, a lot of work, but great. I can't believe how fast it slips by. You spend hours and days and weeks cleaning and then, it's over... :o We packed everything back immediately so I only got to bed at 3:00AM. And I had to work the next day! |

My oven died over pesach (almost certainly from all the self cleaning and aluminum foil). It needs a whole new control panel and I hope it doesn't take too long to get it. It is under a year old so it is still under warranty. Now that I see how fragile it is I think I might pay for the extended warranty. I wish they would go back to the old fashioned ovens with dials. |

I'm here. I did pesach. :) It was fun. I really like pesach food but I think I'm the only one here so it was more difficult for the rest of my family. I'm looking forward to Pizza tonight for dinner. |

Last night all the pesach stuff was put away and the foil on the counters removed and everything scrubbed down. I have 2 rubbermaids of my regular chometz dishes to put back in their place but I've been so busy working today (B"H my in laws could take the kids) since I pushed off work from last week until now. This year Pesach was the nicest Yom Tov I think I have ever had! The weather was beyond amazing and I put in a lot of effort to make sure that the days leading up YT as well as YT itself were pretty much stress free since I don't want my kids growing up hating YT b/c that's when everyone goes crazy. My washing machine and dryer have been going all day! I hope they don't get ideas from everyone else's major appliances! |

I only remember the first days of Chag, my parents called a week before chag and told us to pack our bags they were taking us upstate for the first days.... Little did I know the hotel we went to ran out of Egg Matza on the first days, My husband never made Motzi on shabbat. And also food, the main course on three different days we did not get. (Yes the first night was one of them). Well we got home on Tuesday morning and I came down with 103 and one of my kids with 102. Wed I was at the pediatricians office with a child who I was told had a stomach virus. Friday morning I was back and they told me she had Strep, then off I went to the doc. Well they have no clue what is up with me but gave me meds just incase to use if I get worse. Well I self medicated (something I never do, but with 4 kids at home and yom tov I did) by sunday I made it to my mothers for lunch for about 2 hours then it was back home to bed for me, where I have been spending the past week. The best part about Pesach this year was I lost 15 lbs. And my Best friend got engaged (She is divorced, june will be 2 years with a 7yr old and twin 3yr olds). |

BH, yomtov was very nice, and very busy. I didn't poston the first days thread. On Wednesday night, I got a little surprise. I was laid off by my company. Definitely made lifea bit interesting, shall we say. Yomtov itself was beautiful, though a bit lonely. First days, we had my il's for yomtov. They left Tuesday night. SIL stayed through Thursday night. My brother came for a meal on second days. He was by his in laws who live around the corner from us. MY kids just wanted to play wiht their cousins all the time. Wish they caoluld have played more wiht them. They get along so nicely. Last night, we got all of the pesach stuff away, bH. Went shopping in Walmart today to stock up on chometz! Wow, I never knew the store could be SOOOo packed on a Monday! |
