It's funny that you ask, I went to my mother before with the kids and she was making Matzo balls. When I asked her why, she was like oh it is pesach sheni and that is what Abba wanted. |

"Sheini" means "second" in Hebrew. Pesach Sheini falls out a month after Pesach on the 14th of Iyar. It goes back to the time of the Bais Hamikdosh (Holy Temple) when the Jews would give Korbonos (sacrifices). Some Jews couldn't make it on Pesach, either b/c they were unclean or lived too far away. So Hashem gave us a 2nd chance on Pesach Sheini. I had prepared matzoh to serve with supper and I completely forgot. :doh! :crazy |

I gave Pinny a matzo sandwich to take to kindergarten. He wanted one today, too. He thought Pesach Sheini is a week long like the regular Pesach. |

I don't know if it is necessarily a Chabad minhag - maybe someone else can say, but I've heard that a lot of people (not only Chabad) have some matzah on Pesach Sheini. Maybe they got it form Chabad... :doh! |

I dont think pesach sheini is a chabad minhag..the basis of it si in the torah.. as scrapping mom explained in her post..to me it would seem a universal custom. i never heard of doing anything special..just eat some matzah |
