All I had in the cupboard was my expensive organic whole wheat flour and I didn't "really" want to use that for play dough but the kids were begging to make it! So I used the abundance of boxes I have of leftover matzah meal (the super fine kind for cake). It turned out fabulous and even smoother than made with flour! These measurements are kind of guesstimates but you can adjust until it feels right: 2 cups matzah meal 1 cup salt 4 tablespoons oil 2 tablespoons cream of tartar 1.5 cups water food coloring of your choice cook it all over medium heat until the water is absorbed and then pull it out and knead it a bit to make soft. |
