As some of you know, I've got a constant quest going for decent Kosher Indian food.

My latest find: VH has a new line of curry sauces. They are circle-K, and dairy (so unfortunately, veggie stuff only, can't use for chicken). At $2.99, the price is right, and VH is fairly widely available here, unlike the other products that I can only find in one restaurant, or one natural food store in Newmarket.

Do they actually contain dairy? Not that I want to use them with meat, but 2 of us can't eat any dairy at all, but can eat foods that are dairy cross-contaminated, or halachically dairy without actual dairy ingredients.
As for Indian - did you see the new flavours of potato chips at No Frills? I think they were Lays brand (rather than NoName or PC) and there were two indian flavours, IIRC, one dairy and oen parev.

Sound great! We are big fans of the VH plum sauce (which incidentally is one of the rare items that is available in Canada but not in the US!).

I love VH sauces. And whenever I go to Canada, I buy out the store.

VH is a Canadian company?

It's owned by ConAgra.

NPL - yes, there are actual dairy ingredients.

I tried the tikka sauce last night. Decent, not too spicy. I tend to add cayenne to liven up sauces when it's just dh and I eating.

VH, President's Choice and SpetroJel all fall into the "Only in Canada, eh? Pity." category.

Yay PC! I love "no-name" brands - tastes the same, but oh-so-cheaper :)
