Carpooling question; what do you think of this

This is a little hard to explain. We have two frum schools in our neighborhood. We opted for a school in another, nearby neighborhood. For DD1's year, there is only one neighbor who is in the same grade, and is thus on the same schedule.

Got me so far? I would like to carpool, but my car only takes two carseats and I have two kids. Now, putting yourself in the other mother's situation, would you think it was cheeky or rude if I proposed a carpool but with me doing something other than driving as payback? I was thinking I could pay for half of the gas, cook dinners, make Shabbos desserts, run errands during the morning, etc? I of course would say if it doesn't work for her, no problem, but I don't want to put her in a situation that might make her feel uncomfortable saying no.

Feedback?

It could definitely work - someone is watching my dd 3x a week for about 45 mins and in "exchange" I am picking up her son Mondays-Thursdays each day and driving him to her sister (school and sister are in my neighbourhood). I think I may also watch him once a week or when her sister is unable to.

it may work- but i wouldnt call it carpooling. i would simply ask if she would consider taking your children and in exchange you could do x,y,z

Here "carpool" became slang for picking up any kids from school even only your own!
