I think I go in 2 stages. Work like mad until there is no counter space and then clean up and start round 2 and clean up for good.

What about you? Please make me feel better about my mess now ;)

I always clean as I go. I have about 2 feet of counterspace in my whole kitchen and no other surface.

Depends on my mood and how motivated I am to cook. If I am in a groove I don't even think about clean up because I am chugging out the food.

I clean as I go, I can't work in mess. I try to plan ahead too, as I'm a totally chaotic and disorganised person by nature :)

same here...sometimes i pace myself and know i can make it through xyz and then my dishpan is piled and no more space on the counter, so i'll clean then and then go on to do more, but usually I like to clean between each recipe- unless i'm using utensils for the same stuff (like if both need margarine melted why wash the pot?)

My dh was given yesterday for a 24-hour shift - so typical my luck and he was so happy to tell me way back when that means he will be off today but he would have been either way since it's Cdn Thanksgiving! I think I will "surprise" him by leaving him the floor to wash ;)

I'm not the neatest person, so I usually make a mess and wait for DH to clean it up Posted Image

My DH is a bit like that too, he is very helpful. He actually does a lot of the cooking, but I'd rather he didnt sometimes, as he manages to splash sauce etc from one end of the kitchen to the other. He was so good when I was preg tho, I couldnt stand the smell of the kitchen, he would cook and clean!

I am a list maker. So I have a schedule of which dishes get cooked when. I try to reuse pots/pans for similar things when possible. Dd is very good about washing after I'm done, so when I finish with the pareve stuff and she'll wash there while I'm cooking fleishig. I have a small kitchen and organization is the key to me not pulling my hair out. I tend to clean up as I go and pile the dishes in the sink and then load the dishwasher when the sink is full.
