We have started organizing so that when we do the real cleaning it will be chick chock. Since Zu has been home I got thrown off my game because I am SO exhausted by the end of the day. So, its reorg time. If I didn't, getting everything done on time the way I want it done just won't happen.

Anyone else start?

I'm doing the same as you. I've been working slowly at tidying, reorganizing (organizing for the first time), rearranging furniture. I really should keep it up, so that it will be much more straightforward to do the actual getting rid of chametz.
I started having my pre-Pesach anxiety dreams already - I dreamed that it was the day before erev Pesach, I'd managed to finish the whole house and switch my kitchen, and I was busy with cooking for yom tov. A visitor came, eating a roll, and insisted on eating it right in my kitchen, and she made everything chametzdik and I couldn't get her to leave. AAAKK!

I have been having those nightmares as well. Thats why I started! LOL I have been rearranging a LOT of furniture as well... well dh has and I have been directing. LOL We were thinking in about 2 weeks to paint the dining room and than the week after our bedroom. I really want them done asap. Totally doable if we are organizing now and not leaving everything till the last moment.

Zu keeps asking me when will he get to start on his pesach unit for homeschooling. He saw the vacuum come out yesterday and got all excited. We have all hardwood floors and I rarely use it. It just gives me a headache and makes me sneeze. I told him he has to wait till after Purim to make his pesach cleaning belt (like a tool belt but the tools are cleaning supplies).

AHHHHH! the nightmare! I haven't decided yet if I want to go to the IL (out of state) yet or not, and if yes, if I want to do first days at home and rest by them or completely by them...Guess I better hurry up and decide, any and all cleaning depends on this decision!

I've started, but only in my bedroom. I'll stop until after Purim because cleaning anywhere else is pointless. The only room I can really control "No Chometz Bombs" entering into is mine.

We have a cleaning girl come once a month so as of this week, there will be NO eating outside of the kitchen/dining room area. She will come at least once more before Pesach. Next time, she'll do my fridge. Definitely the time after if she does make it before Pesach. I'm not at stringent as most of you are, but this year I will do my pantry as my "new thing". I have to plan for meals for the kids bc they only, only eat chicken nuggets and waffles, mac n cheese or cheerios. I have to figure out what to make them for alternatives. HELP!

Chicken nuggets are easy...you coat them in matza meal instead of breadcrumbs. Matza brie is close to waffles, and I make pancakes with matza meal and crushed matza instead of flour. I bet if you got yourself a new KFP waffle iron you could use that mix to make waffles. I know in the US you can buy KFP "Cheerios" too. That just leaves the mac 'n cheese. Pizza melts? Maybe it's time to challenge their palates.

my MIL has that...only thing is, it's upstairs (with all the bedrooms) so when we come home from pesach there, I have to re-wash all the cleanly packed clothes from the suitcase cuz she only cooks with shmaltz (no oil) so EVERYTHING REEKS of that nasty fried shmaltz odor :tantrum

They won't eat homemade chicken nuggets. Won't eat kosher ones either. Tyson only. It's a texture thing. I eat all the matzah brie.. I'm hoping the kids try it! They won't eat homemade waffles.. only eggo. Her's are chocolate chip, his are the flip flop kind. They won't try anything different! The "Cheerios" aren't very cheery.. we'll figure something out.

Just want to add that I did expose my kids to real food! Variety too! Really!

You're nicer than I am, or maybe it's because mine are in daycare and don't get a say in the menu, but my kids know that they eat what's served or else they may have a banana (or some other piece of fruit). I don't even cater like that to DH, who would happily live on prepared schnitzel & fries.
