Wow Barbie, you are a nice mum. My kids dont get a choice, lol. Its eat it or starve. Ok so I'm not a monster, but seriously, between three kids and then a DH who whines like a kid everytime I serve him vegetables, I'm not exactly patient with requests or tantrums. As my father used to say, I dont run a smorgasboard!

I have my kids convinced that my homemade nuggets are healthy and McDonalds ones are eeevvvvviiiilllllll :) If they eat mine they get big strong muscles, lol. I also mash things like butter beans into them, lol.

I am a bit naughty though - we do the no dessert bribery to get them to eat.

You're nicer than I am, or maybe it's because mine are in daycare and don't get a say in the menu, but my kids know that they eat what's served or else they may have a banana (or some other piece of fruit). I don't even cater like that to DH, who would happily live on prepared schnitzel & fries.
We do this up to a point. Now that they are four and seven if they don't want dinner then they can have yogurt and fruit but I'm not cooking nor getting it for them. They have to get it themselves and they have to clean it all up! Yes, I'm mean

We do that with cereal. In the winter there is always a pot of oatmeal or as they call it porridge cooked but it might be cold in the fridge.
