I wasn't sure where to post this... I'm making Seuda with my Mom and we want to do a theme for the food - like Mexican or Chinese... We have a couple of other families coming who will be cooking some things too so we need it to be an idea that's easy to delegate. Any thoughts? We're just sick of the same ole brisket and potato kugel kind of Seuda. What are you making?? Edited by Socks18, Mar 2 2009, 11:59 AM.

I like that idea, Marion! I haven't got further than the guest list, so far, but that means inviting one big meat eater who also is on a reduced sodium diet, a vegetarian who eats fish, an egg and dairy allergic child, plus our own family who can't all do dairy and soy. So, looks like I'll do fleishig meal this time (sometimes I make something very fancy with salmon, but seuda will be late enough to count as supper, and so my dfil will want meat), and at least one egg-free dessert, and lots of side dishes that the vegetarian can eat. |

My kids once they see the kreplach will not care at all what else I make. I will put up a soup for kreplach as well as fry them. Dh was able to get me a but of ground lamb for them. Other than that not sure yet. |

So, my kids decided on the menu for seudah :) We are having hot dogs, sliders, french fries, asparagus soup, kreplach, toppings for the sliders and hot dogs. I will make a big salad as well. |
