Okay everyone, lets cheer each other on.

I am burnt out already and just not into it. I have the kid's room done, bathroom done, hallway upstairs half done, my bedroom I started. The first floor the living room is mostly done but we had a cheerio incident which I am still finding prizes from. LOADS of laundry washed and tonight will be folded. Dh did almost everything on sunday. Kitchen and dinning room are next week. By sunday I plan to have everything half done done. I am turning my kitchen over a week from sunday so I can take it slow with the cooking and prep... and honestly, dh is going into NY that day so it has to be turned over by the time he gets back with everything. That gives me a week and a half to cook, straighten everything, and not kill myself.

Can I run and hide? Anyone want to come with me?

What is it this year that everyone has no ko'ach to start. I feel that way too. But my husband keeps asking what I cleaned everyday, so I need to have something to tell him. So he is my inspiration.

How about we each post what we cleaned each day. No obligations, and not even so anyone else has to read it. Could be the well needed kick we all need. ;)

I cleaned the windows in the girls room and the door so far today. (The room was cleaned yesterday.) And yes, there was chometz in the window frames...

Just started the boys room - all I've done is wipe out the upper cupboards in their desk.

What does everybody do with toys like lego? I have no strength to clean it when I know that they play with it where there are crumbs during the year, so the box probably has crumbs in it. I'm mean in that way, I just sell those type of toys for the week. I'll clean things that have bigger pieces and can be chucked into a bath a let the kids have fun scrubbing them.

But less fun for the kids. They like to feel they're cleaning for pesach too.

I do that too...first couple of years I tried the bath thing for toys, but then you're left with wet drippy stuff to dry and you have to bend over the tub and stuff, washing machine= waaaayyyy simpler!

So, I am behind but whats new. LOL!!

Dh has the living room almost done, I have the dinning room half done. Both will be done by dinner time. After the kids go to bed I need to finish my bedroom. IY"H I will get to it and not conk out!! Dh tonight has the bathroom cause it got rechumatzed by accident. My kitchen is being turned over this coming motzei Shabbos and I will finish it up while dh is in NY getting stuff sunday. I am so excited! Otherwise we are pretty much done. Kitchen will take me a few days cause I need dh's help with most of it. Than when the kitchen is turned over after shabbos we can finish the dining room.

Got an amazing deal on meats- amazing and I am thanking G-d big time for that one! Not sure when the order is coming in but dh will bring home some meat from NY to cover us until it comes in. The kids are all excited to open the pesach cabinets!

I am having real issues this year, for some reason. B'H I'm relatively healthy, so there aren't the same limitations as in previous years, with respect to what I'm physically capable of doing. But, I'm having a hard time getting anything done because I'm just overwhelmed, and feel that any progress I make is getting undone in daily life. Somehow, dh isn't seeing the same urgency as I am. I don't have any cleaning help this year, and I think that's adding to my stress. And, getting cleaning help isn't an option, either. I know I should just pick a room to start on, and just finish it, and move on from there, but every day I want to work on Pesach cleaning, something else comes up.

I just owned up to myself that I can't do it the way I usually do. I don't have cleaning help this year, and I just am not capable of the amount of physical work required to do everything I usually do (which isn't much more than the minimums - I don't deep-clean, I move piles of stuff and check underneath!). But, I just emailed our Rav to ask specific questions, and find out what my absolute minimums are. I don't like the idea of not being thorough, but I also don't want to be sick and exhausted for Pesach - I'd rather be able to enjoy the mitzvos of Pesach and the opportunity to enjoy company. With ds2 home sick AGAIN today, and having trouble staying up at night to clean, I just have to scale back to the minimums. I don't like "losing it" with my family when I get stressed and frustrated at the lack of cooperation. It isn't worth the damage to the shalom bayis. I sound like I'm trying to justify myself - I think I am.
