100% true. Ariel lives in Yitzhar and is one of three men ordered out of their homes for the next 6 mos. It is olive harvesting season and an annual excuse to choose a few Jews to punish and throw them out of their homes. It does not take 6 mos. to shake the trees near Yitzhar and the entire olive harvest in Israel, Jewish and Arab, takes less than 3 mos. They love leaving the wives and kids alone on the givaot. This is the 1st time I ever heard of someone on the other side being forbidden to come here. |

The comments are awful. Americans would never stand for being prohibited for something they might do. |

Ariel's crime BTW is that he works for Chonenu, a civil rights group that provides free legal and logistic assistance to the young protesters or innocent bystanders arrested. When my ds was pulled out of lockup on a Friday morning and taken to a hearing without telling me (he was 16 then) Chonenu sent a driver to pick me up and rush me to the courthouse within the hour the judge gave for parents to appear. Had I not arrived there would have been no adult to obligate to supervise him and he would have been ordered to stay in the adult lockup until the end of proceedings nearly a year later. Israeli courts don't generally schedule hearings on Fridays and the law says parents must be notified. I was called by a chonenu attorney who went in with ds and asked that an hour be given for his parents to be notified and arrive. |

Wow, what is terribly sad about this is the fact that it's a Jewish court doing this to a Jewish family. B"H chonenu was there to help and your son could come home with you. |

That particular judge was really ok. It was the cops pushing for him to stay locked up. |
