I'm going with "not as far as me". Half way into Suffolk-ish (not counting the east end.. who ever counts the east end?) :P

Barbie is about 1 hour drive from me, and I live in LI. 1 1/2 hours to CH makes total sense (I can get to CH in 1/2 hour if no traffic)

Williston Park is far. I guess I'm right in the middle of the island. 1 1/2 hours to B'klyn 1 1/2 hours to Montauk or Orient Point. Could be closer to 2 out there, but that is single lane traffic. Then again.... Brooklyn traffic crawls..

hehe!! Thats like me and cottonseed oil. I finished up my last bottle 2 weeks before we left for denver and I have been oilless since than. I was so excited to see it out again- I made dh get a number of bottles and we will pick up a few cases in NY in a few weeks.
Most vegetable oil is 100% cottonseed. I Think I will be using cottonseed for peasach this year. My 3 year old does not react to it anymore, and my baby reacts to olive oil, so I can't use it. Canola is kitniyot, and we usually only use fresh kitniyot. But if its an issue, I will ask to use canola.

Most veg. oil here is soy oil. My issue is, a lot of times its cross contaminated. Olive oil has loads of nut contamination issues. Cottonseed we have found none of the kids react to. So, I stock up and we use it year round. I tried corn oil and they were fine with it but baking with it is just not happening... everything comes out weird. Oh and canola we had issues with but now that the kids outgrew mustard I wonder if they would be okay with it. I do give them products with it now in days and they seem fine. Just not when I cook with it. hrmph.

For cakes I use walmut oil or butter, my guess a major no no on this allergy laden board. I use iot before Pesach because I do all my cakes before.
