I am done planting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have in now-

5 rows of corn, 12 tomato plants (4 4th of july, 4 beefsteak, and 4 cherry), 4 peppers, a row of lettuce, 2 rows of spinach, 1 and a half rows of carrots, hald a row of onion, 2 rows of soybean, 1 row greenbeans, 1 spaghetti squash, 13 hills of zucchini, 11 hills of cucumber, 1 cantaloupe, 4 rows of potato, 8 hills of pumpkin, and 4 hills of watermelon.

Dh is going to make a map on the computer with some software he has later.

The blueberry bushes (6 in our front yard and next to it is the berry patch on the side of the house) are starting to show signs of blueberries growing!!! 10 strawberries planted and have 25 more on the way as well as 4 raspberry and 2 blackberries on the way.

lol.. I have a nice size yard.. but my entire property is 1/4 acre. Half of it is in the back. If I planted as much as you did, there would be no room for the kiddie pool, swing set or room to run around. Anyway... can't wait to see pix!

That sounds like it was a lot of work! You are going to be swimming in zucchini in a few months! Enjoy the "fruits" of your labour!

Sounds great zun!

Last year we planted a ton of zucchini too and oy gevalt it was overwhelming. Where we live, if you plant it - it grows and good heavens did it grow! I honestly thought that we were also big zuchinni eaters but I quickly learned we were done eating anything even remotely resembling that plant after about two weeks. However, neighbors were happy to trade tomatoes and such so it worked out o.k.

I'm getting a late start on my garden because I am just swamped with life right now. Finishing up the semester - moving (just across the street to a bigger house but it's still packing and cleaning), and I volunteered to host the community shabbos dinner at my house the second week of June so I have to make sure the big move goes smooth over memorial day weekend, or I'll be mortified when the guests arrive two weeks later!

Anyways, did anybody hear how Michelle Obama's garden is going? I heard she planted a garden at the whitehouse and it's the first one in years!

It not only feeds the staff and state dinners ZC but they reg. give the excess to a soup kitchen a few blocks away.

Wow-ur garden sounds great! I want pics, too! I love the idea of having your own strawberries. Are your strawberries planted in the ground or hanging from baskets (not sure of technical term)?

I planted them in the ground. We have nowhere to put baskets. In the front we have a whole berry patch. We have the blueberries (which we already see growing!!!) instead of reg. bushes in front of our front porch and eventually hope they will give us a bit of privacy on the porch. Next to that on the side of the porch I have 3 blackberry bushes in and 6 raspberry. Right now I have 10 planted strawberries but the guy messed up and I have another 50 on their way. The ones in now are sprouting a bit already. My kids eat a LOT of berries cause they aren't allergic! Its their favorite snacks.

That´s awesome! My kids love berries, but here in MX, you cannot buy organic. I love the fact that you have everything in your yard, and I am sure the kids love it, too!

Honestly, I have stopped buying organic from the store. Feeding my kids fruits and veggies was more important to me and organic didn't fit in the budget. Its so beyond over priced here.

Be careful. Have you seen the latest report tying in ADHD with non organic fruit? Reports came out last week.
