olives from the can

I had a huge menu planned and Frei had an ana. reaction to a salad dressing (grabbed the wrong one apparently) right as I got started. Dh spent the day in the ER with her and I spent it trying to get my head in the game. In the end we had-
brisket
mashed sweet potatoes with sauteed onions and mushrooms
roasted veggies
chicken wings baked with pizza sauce on top (we supposed to be chicken wings battered and fried and dipped in pizza sauce)
polenta (instead of polenta fries I just baked the rolls and we cut off slices)
no time for mini mushroom pizzas nor Mo and my special challah
avocado salad
chummos (thankfully made thursday)
wheat challah
tomato salad

Found out just on Fri. that dh's whole family was coming for dinner.

We had:

Challah (baked from braided unbaked loaves that I buy)
homemade hummus
guacamole
pitted green olives
maple balsamic salmon
chicken soup with noodles
rosemary balsamic chicken thighs
hot Asian chicken drums
schnitzel for the kids
mixed green salad
garlic mashed cauliflower
chocolate cake for dd's birthday
