what have you used it in successfully? I make countless pizza breads/pizza pitas/pizza pockets, worked in microwave and oven mixed it in with spinach pasta and touch of marinara sauce, microwaved the mixture, was scrumptious made vegetable cheese calzones layered with breaded eggplant and ketchup and baked as a mock Parmesan I layered cooked ravioli (mushroom and spinach) with cheese and sauce and baked it all together to make a lazy version of vegetable lasagna I want to try making mozzarella sticks and a vegetable quiche next also, does anyone find that it smells stronger than regular cheese? my husband complains of the smell any time I make a 'creation', I claim it smells like regular cheese to me... |

Haven't been very adventurous. Made a lasagna for Shavuos, but I didn't have time to figure out proper subs for the meat and tomato sauce (for a dairy meal, and I can't do soy or tomato). I made the top with the pepper-jack flavour, though, and it was good but spicy. I'd never tried pepper-jack before, because we didn't get pepper-jack when I could eat real dairy. I do make grilled-cheese sandwiches, regular sandwiches with mayo instead of margarine. I melt it in soups (bean and root veg soup is good!) and in pasta and rice. I'm enjoying it. DH sometimes comments, but he doesn't like cooked cheese except pizza, anyway! |

We LOVE the pepperjack in mac and cheese. LOL The kids like chili over pepperjack mac. Dh and I sprinkle it on the chili. I make grill cheese, mac and cheese, lasagna, tons of pasta recipes, soups melted in (a big fav is cheddar broccoli), cheese sauce, mashed potatoes, barekas, different mexican dishes (tacos, quasadillas, etc...), deli rolls (the kids love it melted in the deli roll), and pretty much anything cheese might go in. Oh yeah, pizza of course. LOL Oh, and when I made Zu's camp eggs I used it in there for a cheesy scrambled egg and for his BF burrito. I notice the strong smell but my kids don't. They beg to eat all the different kinds without melting for a snack. |

The kids know the difference. They know REAL dairy Frei can't have and it will kill her. They are well aware. |
