Zun - that small menu sounds lovely!
We ate quite the feast when we were out on Fri night, and I think our guests must have done, too, because even though I thought I'd prepared a small, simple menu, there was so much food left over (except the fruit salad, interestingly!).
Challah was a flop, though - it didn't bake through, even though I thought it had when I tested it. It was a dough we made at a challah workshop, and I refrigerated it overnight to bake Fri morning. I guess it really never warmed up to room temperature, and that affected the baking.

oh man on the challah.

One of the reasons for such a small menu is that I baked 9 weeks worth of Challah to stock the freezer with. Also put up 10 gallons of chili! Tomorrow we are onto 15 trays at least of chicken and a couple hundred meatballs and burgers :)

Wow! I wish I had your energy for bulk cooking - I couldn't manage that at the best of times, let alone at the end of a pregnancy!
But, I get you on the freezer space, too - one of the reasons I've put off baking for the bat mitzva is that I stocked up on raw chicken and sliced bread, and suddenly had a full freezer!

Aah! B"H you feel well enough to do it! B'shaa tova - which should be when you feel that your freezer is sufficiently well supplied!
