Anyway the menu Challah (frozen from last week's batch) fish - Moroccan and gefilte salads - I think a chick pea and Caesar, though I need to make some Caesar dressing Chicken soup with noodles Corned Beef Roast Chicken (DH does this) Potato kugel Apple crisp String beans Peanut butter ice cream pie for dessert Lunch is just us challah grapefruit leftover fish leftover meat chulent potato kugel salads don't know what's for dessert. Leftover maybe? Or ices? |

The meal went well but I felt very old, they have 22 month old twin girls who were very kvetchy - I was fine with it, but actually felt good that my kids are older. They have 3 very cute boys the oldest is 10ish and 1 grade younger than my youngest. But all the food was good, BH and the meal went nicely hopefully they had a good time. |

glad it was nice! will they invite you now? we hardly get invited, as almost no one keeps kosher the way we do. there are 2 or 3 houses where the ppl are brave enough to have us:) the girls are of course no problem, but the boys, once they get bored, need to play, and not everyone can handle that... but also when we have guests (which is almost every week) the boys start playing eventually:) |

I'd love the recipe for Moroccan fish. Is it on here somewhere already? |

I don't expect them to invite us, we are about 15 years older than them, and I live within a few blocks of a lot of family so we do get out quite a bit, BH. As for the Moroccan fish recipe, I haven't posted it anywhere, so here it is: 1 red pepper, sliced, place on bottom of the pot (I guess about a 2 1/2 or 3 quart pot) 1 tomato, sliced, place on top of the red pepper 1 bag of dagim flounder, or any white firm fleshed fish (my mother even uses salmon) I roll the fish up, but it can be made unrolled too - on top of the tomato Add 1/3 cup oil and 2/3 cup water sprinkle on top salt garlic powder paprika (lots) crushed red pepper (more if you like it hotter) add cilantro (fresh or I use the frozen cubes) bring to a boil and then lower and cook for 35 minutes covered and then 10 minutes uncovered. Serve at room temperature. Enjoy |
