Invited friends for dinner, lunch alone to allow for shabbos nap prior to shiur that DH attends Friday night Homemade challah from freezer Moroccan and gefilte fish (gefilte was frozen from a prior shabbos) Salad (we'll see what type we feel like making) Chicken soup Chicken (DH makes it) Corned beef potato kugel apple crisp asparagus (guest is bringing) dessert - guest is bringing fruit Shabbos lunch Challah from freezer fruit to start - either grapefruit or leftover from night's fruit platter any leftover fish salads chulent potato kugel deli roll dessert unknown |

DH surprised me this morning by coming home from minyan via the supermarket. So, I'm cooking what he brought, and making do without the other things on my list (eg eggs and mayo!). Fri Night: Vegetable soup (made a huge pot so I hope I can freeze some for another week). Brust Dekle pot roast with parsnips and carrots (made a second one plain to freeze for another week, because he bought me 2!) Roast potatoes Rice and Lentil pilaf broccoli and cauliflower Cupcakes dd made at school Shabbos Lunch: Gefilte fish Dips Salad Cholent Bourekas Anything left over from Fri Night. Cake from freezer Grapes |

Sounds yum. I am going simple. night- challah dips (whatever is left in the fridge) chicken with some kind of marinade- I believe tomato basil mashed potatoes (sweet pot for Mo) onion/mushroom sauteed jello and oatmeal cookies lunch- challah dips leftover deli salad pretzels corn chips and salsa cookies |

looks like we are having potato salad, too. I cut way too many potatoes to fit in the roasting dish. Problem is, I have almost no mayo. Any ideas for what I can do with boiled pots to be eaten cold? |

After all that, dd asked for mashed potatoes, so we had mashed potatoes and roasted potatoes for Fri night, and the rice and lentils shabbos day. And shabbos morning I found the new jar of mayo in the pantry! |
