Yom Ha'atzmaut - no stove

I had a supper planned for Yom Ha'atzmaut (we'll eat it tomorrow, as shkia is so late here).
Then dh told me that whilst the good news about the oven is that it should be a simple fix he can do himself, the bad news is that until he finds the part and instals it, I can't use the stove at all, not even the stovetop.

Takeout won't work because of allergies, so I need to figure out what I can make the kids for Yom Ha'atzmaut.

I do have frozen shwarma that I can reheat in the microwave, and pita, humous etc and salad is easy. But I can't do the falafel. I also can't do the rice and ground meat with zaatar seasoning.
I'm looking for a supplement for the shwarma that I can cook in the microwave, on the indoor grill, or in the crockpot, that is Israeli-themed. Preferably cook-from-scratch because of allergies. And no tomato or nuts/peanuts.

Any ideas?

How about making some couscous in the microwave, then adding some diced veggies and some oil and balsamic vinegar? Maybe some chopped dates for sweetness.

Great minds think alike - I picked up some of the 5 minute whole-wheat couscous this afternoon. I make it with water from the kettle and let it sit for longer than the package says.
It's possible that my stove will be fixed in time. My MIL picked up the part for dh from a place near her house. And dh is trying to fix the stove right now.
But, having ideas that don't use the stove is useful anyway - especially for finding foods the kids can cook without supervision (beyond the microwaved veggies they do so far!).

I was going to say that the traditional YH meal is actually barbeque...at least in Israel!

Yup - and we have no bbq!
Seems to be a moot point. DH fixed the stove yesterday, and it should all work. (He doesn't want me to try the self-clean yet, so I still can't make challah for shabbos, but at least I can make the rest of the food!).
