Anyone care to share menus? This year it's harder for me because my toddler can't eat milk or eggs. I just made this wonderful avocado sauce to go on top of macaroni. It tasted really good by itself, so hopefully my family will like it on their pasta!

Pareve mac and cheese, snossages (gimmie lean sausage), and tomato salad tonight. Was planning to do pizza tonight but I forgot to get yeast. Mo is having quinoa noodles with pasta sauce.

Mo is in heaven. Got word from the doc right before dinner that right now would be a perfect time for a fish challenge. We had already been told we could do it over the 9 days from our Rav. So, he had a huge serving of salmon with his noodles and LOVED it. So far no ana. reaction. Now we have to see if he has an EE attack. Might take a week or two to see anything. IY"H this is a pass cause the only protein he has during the 9 days besides the quinoa thats safe is beans and he tolerates only so much of those.

My menu is not going to be too helpful for allergic people.

Last night - spaghetti with shredded cheese and letcho
Tonight - whole wheat pizza, mushroom-barley soup
Tomorrow - fried flounder, kasha, creamed spinach
Wednesday - broccoli lasagne
Thursday - either falafal in pita or stuffed baked potatoes

We just bought $100 worth of meat from a Glatt Kosher store last week in Queens, only to see yesterday that my husband unplugged the freezer AND left the door to it opened over night. So we have no food, and as that was our budget for close to a month, I think we are eating nothing more than side dishes. Grumble!

Its a new food for him... he has never trialed it or eaten it before. We spoke to the Rav about trying new foods during the 9 days. Not if we could eat fish :) We don't have fish in general in the house because Tev is ana airborne these days.

OK, fair enough. I thought I'd missed something somewhere...like I knew about meat but fish for us is a staple!
