Whoa, Estie, mazel tov!! Lots of nachas!

We had a very simple Shabbos because the previous week we had guests and I went all out. I wasn't in the mood of extending myself this time around. If I had remembered it was Rosh Chodesh, though, I would have tried harder.

gefilte fish
beef bouillon with noodles
roast chicken
yerushalmi kugel
marinated pepper salad (which I forgot to serve)
melon

gefilte fish
cholent and kishke
mini ice cream bars for the kids, melon for dh

Last week, though:

gefilte fish with chrein and mayo/lightly marinated salmon with tartar sauce
chicken soup
turkey roast, wild rice, potato kugel
roasted white asparagus
marinated mushrooms
carrot salad
ice cream,strawberry-applesauce

same fish
cholent, kishke
same salads
yerushalmi kugel, potato kugel
same dessert

Definitely! We love guests, but seldom does anyone want to come all the way over here for a Shabbos meal. Tell your dh he can ride my dh's motorcycle if he comes too! ;)

One day if we ever have money to travel. Oh wait, will that day ever come cause after paying for schools, weddings, and who knows what after will we ever have money to travel?

UGH!! I hate staying so put. I used to go all over the world on a whim before I got married. Dh however is so not into it. Going home to Chicago for a trip becomes a huge negotiation. Took me 6 months to convince him to let us go to pick up the kids from camp and stay in Atlanta for Shabbos!

That's what happens when you grow up, eh? Gotta stay in one place and put down some roots.
