I'm just staggering about making some burgers. I'll freeze some and some we'll eat tonight. It's such as easy thing to do, and they taste good.

I buy pork mince, lamb mince and beef mince. Then I use my food processor to whiz up some mint and thyme (out of the garden) for the lamb. Some leeks and sage for the pork, and some plain onion for all of them, but mostly for the beef. Then you just squidge up the various ingredients, add an egg to each - shape and fry. It works out cheaper too. Very nice. :)

And no added rubbish just fresh raw ingedients, that's what I love about making your own, no need to worry about additives. s*ov*

Exactly - right down to the free range eggs. I don't add breadcrumbs either, but I suppose you could if you wanted to make them go further. They just taste so much better when you make them yourself. You can make big ones for the men and little ones for the children too. Little tiny miniature ones always go down well, I find. h-ungry

I have a lovely recipie from a cookbook by Jenny Bristow. You have the mince, but added to it are cooked & mashed carrot, parsnips, onion and some chopped parsley.Honestly, it's the tastiest burgers I've ever made. s*ov*
