Oh dear I am having an absolute nightmare with some wretched company from the USA who wants me to purchase their anti virus software .
Every 10 seconds I get this pop up that tells me I'm infected despite my own anti virus which seems to be working OK ( though it didn't stop this baby ).

I have tried everything to get rid of it to no avail . I am seriously considering throwing my laptop in the canal and getting another one .
:( any help would make my day :D

oh oh....sounds bad.

Have you run a virus check.

I had one of those and had to find it in the registry to get rid of it.

Others have had to totally reinstall their computer to get rid.

I wish I knew what to tell you but am useless with these things.

Good morning everyone , it is Sunday 1st November,it is pouring with rain but I am a happy little one eyed bunny because it would appear that my problem has disappeared with the same anonymity with which it arrived .

The company was called Anti Virus PRO , it was attached to a porn site which added insult to injury .

I tried everything to find the wretched thing on my laptop ( yes it was on my pc not just an on line pop up ). I found a local IT expert and was at the point of contacting him when it just vanished .

My own mcafee anti virus was no use at all ( BT will have to explain )

Anyway thank you to those of you who offered help or condolence and all I can say is if it happens to you my deepest sympathy goes out .

S-un

For reference, I found this...

Look for the section headed:
