I love that in a morning T-issues

And just look who they're having in the new show. Adrian Chiles.
I can't stand him!

I used to like the Big Breakfast on channel 4 with Johnny Vaughan and Denise Van Outen.

It was a good start for the day when my kids were just toddlers.

A bit of grown up tv whilst having breaky before the living room got invaded by toys and CBEEBIES tellytubbies dash2

I used to watch GMTV,but one morning, bleary eyed, I couldn't find the remote[settee had eaten it] I was forced to watch Breakfast ..and it was love at first sight . Bill Turnbull stole my heart *sigh*... so Adrian ''my precious'' Chiles has no chance of luring me away.

I liked the Big Breakfast too, that was something totally different in the morning. I preferred Evans and Rosling though.

I don't watch GMTV, it's like The Sun with pictures, I tried it but it was too light. I wanted to hear the news, not Penny Smith gabbling through the important items without taking a breath, she exhausted me and what she did report wasn't of any interest. GMTV's idea of news was what the latest health scare was, nothing of national importance.

I turned to Radio 4, much better since I don't have to look at a screen and I can carry on my morning duties without distraction and actually learn something.

Another thing that annoyed me about GMTV was Lorraine Kelly, what's she all about? All she could say was "great"!! How wonderful to be able to hear this song played when she makes her final appearance:

I think Chris Evans was just about leaving when I discovered the show. I'd not long arrived to England then. I used to enjoy his TGIF show.

The big breakfast was great because it had great energy and humour and it was informative too. Good ingredients for hearty breakfast to start the day! :D Especially if you'd got up the wrong the side of the bed :D

I just find it all too depressing. First thing in the morning I don't particularly want to hear about people being terminally ill, feeling fat or ugly, or that drinking my first cup of coffee might kill me.

I don't watch tv during the day anymore, and I don't find it stimulating at all.

It was only when my kids were little that the box would come on and that was a time when I needed to hear and to see( body language help a lot) people speak the lingo as I was still learning.

Oh Lynne - I really like Lorraine Kelly Laughing man

Fwench - I don't like those sad stories but I do enjoy the other aspects and lightness of the show. I've rarely sat concentrating on it, but like it on as I go about the daily routine.

That song, Lynne! Always reminds me of when I first met my hubby at a night club, as that is what was playing :)
