I don't know about anyone else, but I always associate the idea of becoming an Entrepeneur with things like Hedge Funds and all things money. Is it though? I think my window cleaner might be an Entrepreneur. He identified a need and, very simply, kitted himself up, knocked on a few doors and 'Bingo!"

Perhaps we should all be Entrepreneurs.

I suppose anyone who successfully gets an idea going could be called an entrepreneur then.

Hmmmm - I wonder if I'll ever be one

Definitely! I've seen some of your work on FB. Lovely. :)

I've got a project on the go atm, and if it comes off, I might be one too.

The best advice I could ever give to anybody who wishes to become an entrepreneur would be to not give up the day job, whenever possible. If you've nothing to lose, then go for it full guns blazing but it's a bloody bumpy ride and a very thankless, fruitless one at times.
Anybody with (an) extraordinary skill()s should exploit it (them), if only for leisure. If money can be made out of it (them), then even better! Wasted talent is a sad thing to see and/or a sad thing to endure.

I think that's sound advice. :)

If only I could practice what I preach! Laughing man Nah, my day job had become a little too part-time for my liking.
The business I am running now was actually my Oh's to begin with, his idea at least. He thought he could give up the day job and get on with it. Had'nt I been so flexible and cooperative ( and willing to work for nada), his dream would have been shattered, bless him.
I'm going to find out tonight how much this enterprise has earnt me since starting back in March....I'm not expecting much, but I'll take anything. I'm just glad we don't owe anyone anything!
Just when I thought it was about to go down the pan, it's picking up again at a fast pace. I realy hope I can make a real success of it to enable my OH to give up the day job indeed and join me!

Well, there you go....in the blink of an eye, I haven't got a business to run anymore.
My business partners have decided to pull out and take back all their stock last night.(without even me being present at the time)
I have been well and truly stitched up.
I won't get into it here because I do have some sense of decorum, but I certainly didn't deserve what has just happened to me.
I have to go back to the shop tomorrow to see what they have done to the place and sort it all out as I have now given my one months notice on the rent.

All the hard work, time, and soul I have put into that place was a waste of time. Just when things were going well....

Ah well, although I feel quite crushed and livid today, I have a few things to get on iwth and to look forward to.
One of my own products is doing very well selling on ebay and a couple of others not doing so bad either, so I have something to fall back on.
