Did anyone watch this late lastnight? I flicked through the channels and came upon it as it was starting. It starred Brad Pitt and basically he and 8 American men went of a spree of killing as many German soldiers in occupied France as possible, The aim was that each would show themselves to have scalped 100 Germans each. Anyone they let go was on condition they told of the fear these 9 men put the Germans through, and the menthey let go were branded with the German swastika. I watched because even though I thought this didn't ring right, that it was based on a true story. Anyway as it wore on, in the end these 9 men and a woman actress 'spy' with the help of a Jewish cinema owner managed to get Hitler and his other lead men into a cinema, blow it up and set fire to it. This resulted on the end of the war  Talk about egotistical with the Americans  And the cheeky beggars even had some English men spys who weren't capable of carrying out their part and got themselves and others killed. Unbelievable! If I was an actor/actress I'd have refused to play such a part of serious History, taking the glory when we all know the true story. |

This film was a work of fiction, so to get het up is probably a little unnecessary! ![]() |

I wasn't exactly het up, Rusty. Just astonished at the ego involved. It made the whole film tacky - I thought, anyway. |

It is fiction, it wasn't based on any true story or anything. The film industry is swamped with poetic licence.

Yes, I know - but that story line - changing history on something so big just doesn't do it for me  |
