Newly updated ‘protocols’ approved by the Queen place Kate, Duchess of Cambridge firmly down the royal pecking order. A document is said to have been circulated privately in the royal household, clarifying Kate’s status. Although she is the future Queen, as a former commoner Kate must show reverence to the ‘blood princesses’. This means she is expected to curtsey to those born royal, such as Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie – both in public and in private. The rule only applies when her husband, Prince William, is not present. In his absence, she must also curtsey to other blue-blooded women in the royal household, including Princess Anne and Princess Alexandra, the Queen’s cousin Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-21...l#ixzz3qFdzRbma What is this nonsense? I can understand why she has to curtsey to the Queen, everyone has to and at least people no longer have to walk backwards, but having to curtsey to these two rather unremarkable young women is absolutely ridiculous. She is said not to mind but I can’t imagine that she feels herself inferior or subordinate in any way! |

I think they are taking their position a bit too importantly. This sort of thing pisses people off. The trouble with reality and politicians they live in their own world. If they lived in a normal world things might be a bit better for us poor people. |

I'd agree with that. Still, just wait until she's Queen - then we'll see some serious Karma.

It sounds unbelievable! I'm surprised that in private the true blue bloods would expect Kate to do this, and am wondering if they don't...... |
