I love SSX...I'm all about SSX. Probably my other favorite series next to katamari. Gta is another series I like. Love Vice City like crazy. DDR and other games like that, like Taiko, Frequency, Amplitude, Space Channel 5 and so and so forth. The classic collections I dig too since I was a kid when all those games came out. |

MissKittty, you sound like me, I play just about everything. I don't play horror or war games, they don't interest me. I wish i had a gcn though, that would rock. I only have a ps2 and some old school systems. |

War games are some of the few that I don't play. But horror games are my favorite, especially survival horror. I've had more than my share of sleepless nights over them too... |

the newest survival horror that is just out last week (COLD FEAR)..sucks really badly..laser sight on your gun is cool, moody atmosphere..but the control sucks. please everyone should hold out for the game called "obscure" that comes out next week..its a 20$ game with 2player co-op survival horror cum teen slasher game. It's gotten great reviews over in Europe where it was released a few months ago. (probably along the lines of the great xbox game "curse: the eye of isis")... |

I am open to any type of game, but I generally find myself playing role-playing games. However, they haven't been any really good role-playing games recently, in my opinion, ever since people got obsessed with graphics and CG sequences. So, some favorite role-playing games are on the SNES. Like I said on another thread, there are some nice ones that never made it here. Luckily, there are plenty of translation patches on the Internet, so you can use an emulator to play them. |

yeah, it's a shame that so many good games never make it here because they're different and not "mainstream" |

I'm a big FPS and puzzle action person. i live RPG's along with those. I play a lot of Half-Life and Counter-Strike on PC. Then i move onto Metal Gear on PS2 (KD is used as a stress reliever in between) and then i play Kingdom Hearts on GBA if i'm leaving the house. |

Lumines for my psp (I had mercury, beat it in a few hours, traded it it) Katamari, the ps1 final fantasies (7, 8, and 9), gta2/3, ut2004 on the pc... I want some decent survival horror games, obscure does look good... The suffering was just waaaayyy tooo creepy... I had nightmares when I could sleep after playing that game at 3 am with headphones with the lights off... That could be why... Magic pengel is an awesome game, flatout, burnout3... Katamari, of course and soon... Wlk and graffiti kingdom and dancemat challenge for psp... Because they cancelled my sticky balls... |

Of all the games I have, there are only a few that I really continue to play. Katamari is number one, of course, followed by Parappa the Rapper and Um Jammer Lammy (games which I probably take far too seriously). I also still play through ICO once in a while (I think I've beaten it at least 5 times, start to finish), or pick up on one of my quests in Final Fantasy (I have VIII, IX and Tactics; still want to get the classics bundles and VII. Occasionally tempted to pick up X for the 7 dollars it sells for used). I tend to have the most fun with VIII's battle system. After that, I still find myself playing Kingdom Hearts and the Jak games (despite the fact that it makes me feel emotionally drained, I've still beaten Jak II twice and unlocked all the extras until some punk stole my memory card. I've only beaten it once after that, and I don't have it in me to go through Hero Mode again). I'd totally play Klonoa if I could find it again. |

I enjoy large scale strategy-based wargames (Civilization, Centurion), and "quick" strategy games like Warcraft and Starcraft. Also, RPGs (Fallout, Final Fantasy, Baldur's Gate, Breath of Fire). Sometimes, I enjoy a bit of arcade-style fun (pinball or Asteroids, mostly). I avoid first-person shooters (Doom, etc.), and most Resident Evil-style games, because I'm horrible at them. I absolutely LOATHED Resident Evil. The ambience was great, but zombies kept jumping out of NOWHERE and killing me before I could do anything about it. (Yeah, my reflexes are the pits.) And because you couldn't save very often in Resident Evil, I'd end up playing for a couple of hours, and achieving absolutely nothing. I also avoid most car games, platformers, etc. Anything that involves manual dexterity, fuggedabowdit. I tried to get good at GTA, I really did, but to no avail. Funny that, considering my job involves nothing BUT working with my hands, but there you have it. |
