People weren't posting that much, so I figured I would make a thread about the first thing that popped into my mind. I which point, like a magic, the ad on the bottom of the page was for "Kyou Kara Maou!" I figured that this was a good a topic as any to talk about.

I was also thinking about posting something else, but I'll do that after this one.

Some people don't like this kind of show because it's shounen-ai, (has boy/boy pairings) but I don't see anything wrong with having that kind of relationship in a show. Then again, I like Koi Kaze, and the basis for that is lolicon incest, so I can be more accepting than most people.

Anyway, it's funny. If you ever get the chance, check it out.

I don't watch nearly enough anime as I would like too. I gotta hit up dvd's when I get a job, there's two carts in the mall that sell tons of imported stuff as well as a suncoast with a nice selection of anime.

Suncoast's prices are laughable, though. Even their rewards system doesn't make up for the price difference. The best place to get cheap anime is usually either Best Buy (if you want new), your bargain bin at your local video rental area (especially around the holidays, they sometimes take anime out of their inventory*) and a second-hand CD store like Disc-Go-Round**. Gamestop also sells the popular series for at least $2 cheaper on every title. Heck, even EB has started carrying cheap used anime.

ALSO, if you have a Walden Book, you can sign up for their e-mail newsletter. It doesn't send spam or pointless mail, but it does send you coupons for books (often applicable to manga). They've started carrying plushies, art books and a few anime titles as well, so when you get a coupon for 30% off any one item in the store, it's a nice deal.

*I've gotten two titles that you can't order in the US anymore this way, both for under $4, but that was when VHS was still the regular format.

**I got the entire series of Boogiepop Phantom in perfect condition with a bonus CD for $40 this way

I have a tendency to buy from amazon.com. They have pratically everything listed and usually have relatively low prices.

I'm too lazy to look around at pawn shops.

when it comes to dvd's, i totally shop around for the best price, for example when the next season of south park comes out, chances are there will be a 15$ gap in prices between all the stores around me here.

That's the ad that prompted me to start this thread. I had to upload it because the forum doesn't allow dynamic images.

I have a father who always goes looking around for the lowest price. I mean, when he buys his groceries he goes to two different supermarkets just so he gets the lowest on everything. Perhaps I'm being lazy and perhaps I just don't want to be like him.

KKM is one of my favorite newer anime, along with Yakitate!! Japan. I really don't feel the shounen-ai from it, though, probably because it's not like most other shounen-ai shows where some of the guys act too much like girls. I can't stand that, guys acting like girls. For me, KKM is more about the comedy and adventure. Like Morgif being the most useless sword ever, and the weird, high-handed speeches Yuuri gives as the Original King.
