vix-- I've been tinkering on SSX3 off and on for about a year and a half now, and randomly clicked on your web page and saw your percentages. Now I have plenty of games I've gone 100% on, but SSX3 daunted the heck out of me. My poor little Allegra has one or two platinums, I think, but you have two characters at 100%, plus everybody else well along (probably further than my best!!) How much time did you spend on that game?! |

Well... The fact that I am a mod at the largest SSX Fansite(and Possibly the only) should give you some insight... I'm just uber grateful WLK is out now, before SSX On Tour...gives me plenty of time to work on WLK and it's faq and then plenty of time to help out with the faq for ssx... I've spent a lot of time on SSX3 but my scores are nothing compared to what's on the scoreboards. I don't use wormholes but I use the monster trick glitch(though I got all plats for all characters before I even knew how to do X and SA, two monster tricks that give you highest points possible)... I probably would have had all my characters at 100% if it wasn't for the Gravitude Gates Challenge and the Snowflakes, the flakes irk the hell out of me.

Yeah, the snowflakes and the "BIG challenges" are the things that have REALLY intimidated me from getting in a 100% mentality on the game. Getting platinums on the Slopestyles and Big Airs aren't so much a big deal (not simple, but enjoyable), and I'm willing to push myself to win races (more through luck than anything else). I think the big thing is that I just have too many games on my shelf to chip away at. On top of WLK (and I still need 100% on the constellations on the original) I need to get the last few handfuls of gaps on THUG 2 (I've gone through the entire Tony Hawk series, one by one, over the last six months), finish Dynasty Warriors 3 and Xtreme Legends, just started Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution, dog tags and VR missions in MGS2 Substance, F-Zero GX, trying to get good at Ikaruga... I'm seriously considering completely ignoring SSX On Tour when it comes out, cause that'd probably just make things worse. By the by, is there a good snowflake map or something floating around out there? |

the only snowflake maps that are out are what's in the stategy guide and they don't help at all. if you're missing, say one or two on a level and you can't find them at all...go into an event, play through the event, and then when it's over, use the replay to go slow mo through the course using the moveable camera's and then you can look around for the missing flakes. |
