So I broke down (the day before WLK was released, of course, hence my lack of dedication to playing that) and bought the Nintendo DS. I saw the Nintendogs display at Best Buy and decided I had to have one even though I don't like dogs. I'm up to 4 dogs now, and almost 10,000 trainer points, but it gets hard to keep playing. The game seemed really cool for the first day, but now it seems like work and it isn't as much fun as say, The Sims. I really don't like that your dog gets "tired" of learning and then you can't teach them anything for the rest of the day, that you can only take walks every 30 minutes, and that you can only enter each dog in 3 contests a day. Eh. I think it is a little too slow moving for me. It feels like it takes too much play time to unlock cool stuff, when it's like everything is totally repetitious anyhow. I have a Beagle named Gir, a weiner dog named Pickle, a Shiba Inu named Ronnie Ron (after this dude in Ghetto Fights 2 that pwns everyone), and I just got a cocker spaniel last night that I haven't named yet. I've played in bark mode, too, and I still think this game gets old too fast. So anyone have it and know how to make it more fun? |
